Designer looking for a Programmer for long-term partnership
Required Knowledge
Java, MySQL, Javascript, ideally RETS
Additional Info
I'm looking for a Java programmer to partner with me on routine maintenance and improvements on a website for a New England real estate firm.
THE PROJECT
About four years ago, I worked with a programmer to develop the site using the Wicket framework (wicket.apache.org). That programmer recently moved on to focus on a start-up, so I'm now in need of someone new to take over the programming side of things.
All of the real estate listing data is provided by two subscription databases via RETS feeds that flow into a MySQL database. The site runs on Apache Tomcat on an Ubuntu server on a VPS. (Note that I do have a server admin on my team, and I will handle all project management and client interactions, so I'm really just looking for someone to focus on the Java programming.)
The rate of pay for this project will be $50/hr US. The client already has a long list of upgrades and improvements that they would like to see implemented this year, so each will just need to be quoted up-front and approved before work begins.
If you think you fit the bill, please contact me with some examples of your work using Java, as well as any experience you have with RETS.
