I am a busy web designer, looking to take my business to the next level. So far, I have been doing all of the marketing, consulting, designing, and development myself. I am looking for someone to take on a significant amount of the development work, allowing me more time to focus on other areas of the business. For nine years I have had a steady flow of work, with very little downtime. Although the business has been manageable by myself, I have had to turn down projects recently because I am just too busy, and this is where you would come in and help.
ON A REGULAR BASIS, I NEED SOMEONE TO BE ABLE TO DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
- Create HTML/CSS templates based on provided wireframes and PSD files
- Install, configure and customize Wordpress based on provided instructions
- Receive and implement requested adjustments and changes to your work
- Update existing web sites with provided content and images
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A portfolio of work showing that you have a grip on current trends and standards
- Proficiency in the following languages: HTML/XHTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript (jQuery library knowledge is an asset), Flash & ActionScript knowledge is also an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop
- Strong working knowledge of both Wordpress and Drupal
- Positive feedback from former clients (LinkedIn Recommendations, references I can contact, or testimonials somewhere else)
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively in English
- Ability to accurately follow direction and execute tasks as requested
- A fast computer with constant internet access
- Your own installation of Photoshop CS4 or CS5
- You must live in either the USA or Canada (eastern seaboard preferred but not a must)
HOURS AND AVAILABILITY:
This role is ideal for an existing freelancer who has some flexibility in their schedule. Some weeks, we may only have a few things to work on, but sometimes there will be a large project with a tight deadline that will demand your full attention.
PAYMENT:
This is a contract gig.
I am not cheap. I want to pay you what you are worth, but of course, I am hoping to get a discount off your normal "client" rates, since I will be bringing projects to you on a consistent basis. Payment may be hourly, a flat fee (per project), or some other arrangement. Please let me know what works for you. We will discuss and negotiate payment before beginning any work.
Please apply by responding to this ad with a link to your portfolio and by including your hourly rate.
