Entrepreneur looking for a Designer for long-term partnership

  A New York City based media company is seeking an art director to lead production of its new site.
  
  Candidates should be proficient with all major web and motion graphics design applications, including Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and After Effects. Strong typography and information design skills are a must. The site must be innovative, aesthetically superior and, most importantly, fun to use. The right applicant will be able to see past standard menu-and-list-based structures to create a highly interactive experience by implementing user gestures and complex animations to create a new kind of interface. Programming skills are a plus. Experience with game design is a major plus.
  
  The right person will be committed for the long haul -- someone who shares our desire to reshape how people consume news and entertainment. The successful applicant will also be a leader -- you'll have to manage the site's design from beginning to end, overseeing a limited budget and small staff. We're offering a modest salary with the potential for full partnership status once the project is underway.
