Programmer looking for a Designer for long-term partnership
Required Knowledge
Clean design, color theory, Photoshop, OS X, UI/X
Additional Info
I'm looking for my compliment. I'm a competent programmer, but an incompetent designer. It would be nice to have a consistent person to work with when client projects come up. Additionally, I'm looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to work on side projects (web applications), to increase both reputation, and possibly earn money.
For client projects, you would charge your normal rate, and I would charge mine. For side projects, ownership would be 50/50%, or negotiable at the time of conception (if you feel a project is more or less programmer-dependent, for example).
Some "nice to have" skills (but not completely necessary) - cutting of your Photoshop designs into valid HTML/CSS, experience with templating engines (or templating in general), experience with Rails.
I've been freelancing for five years, and have experience managing projects from start to finish, so it's not completely necessary that you're familiar with the "business end" of things, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if you were. Basically, I'm hoping we'll end up being each other's "go to" people for design and dev, respectively.
Please include links to your portfolio, or any projects you have "in the wild". I'll do the same.
