  The Applications Programmer is responsible for developing and/or supporting computer applications in support of University business processes. Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following.
  Develop and maintain new and existing systems in support of University processes.
  Coordinate with clients, vendors and consultants to develop solutions and successful testing, documentation and support of those solutions.
  Investigate packaged solutions to systems, programs for problems and opportunities.
  Provides guidance to functional units in the development of system specifications.
  Interprets and works from specifications written by others.
  Plans and organizes work and prioritizes multiple projects.
  Attends department meetings as needed.
  Keeps current in job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  Performs other related duties as assigned by higher level management.
  During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
