Programmer looking for a Programmer for long-term partnership
Hello, I myself am a novice programmer, a UI & UX Wireframe Designer, I also write technical requirements, and I?ve read stacks of tech books. I?m developing an android mobile app. I?m having difficulty coding certain features, but I understand the technologies involved and would like a more experienced mobile and web developer to help instruct me, provide feedback, be my mentor and partner up for a new big picture startup.
Now, the app I?m attempting to develop is a peer-to-peer consumer based social commerce platform. A major trend in e-commerce today and more so in the next 5 years. It involves dual vertical integrated markets. What that means is, the everyday consumer has items they don?t need and would like to sell or swap with other consumers for things they do want or for cash, and they use the android app to list it in the marketplace for free. It?s a smart strategy. The items are targeted to the two largest vertical markets for used commodities that every single person in the world has laying around that they don?t need that the app is specializing in. This makes it simple and user friendly, and focused. While potentially generating seven digit figures or more. And we?d only need less that 1% more like 0.0001% really of the global market share to do that! Since it?s a gargantuan market I?m targeting. $1.5 trillion to be exact when I quantify both vertical markets, but that?s globally, we?d start domestically first so it?ll be less by probably 65% which is still a large market. The idea of peer to peer commerce to me is that the consumer generates the inventory adding value to the startup as the userbase matures. The more inventory the higher value of the company. That?s how I think retail stores are valuated. Not only is there value in a virtual inventory, we also have the value of the userbase. When you quantify both inventory and userbase, the value of the company is significant. There is no overhead when it comes to inventory since we never stock the items, the consumer does. We monetize by collecting 15% on each transaction plus Featured Listings which are free to list but we take a 35% cut from the transaction. There are already a few apps and websites in the peer to peer commerce market that utilize iOS and Android. But, my idea is on steroids! The system I plan to implement is something I call an ?Augmented Recycling Viral Loop?, I?ll talk about that more when you email me.
So far I?ve completed wireframing 22 frame sequences of high fidelity mockups (you must see the visuals I?ve wireframed), and designed a very attractive brand and logo, I?ve registered the domain name for the website, and wrote technical specifications, all of which if you?re on board, will get to see and discuss. I?ve started coding the GUI with the wireframes as my guide. After that I need to implement automatic logins from various social networks like Facebook and Twitter. There?s no registration in the app itself, as it just makes more sense to leverage other networks and to streamline signups. That?s pretty much where I?m at right now, since I spent a lot of time just reading books and articles before I decided to jump right in. I have a list of requirements that I need help with, whether that?s simply instructions on code as my mentor or actual development and partnership. Any assistance is most appreciated.
Once we build a MVP, and have a prototype, I?d start agile testing it in Google Play, building an initial userbase and then search for investors. The reason for having some users when looking for investments is because it will help tremendously in finding funding. Once I have an initial investment, I will pay you. If you contribute a lot of actual coding I?d give you equity shares as well. I live in Massachusetts, I will be moving to Boston?s startup community by January of next year, I?m particularly interested in Kendall Square in MIT?s tech startup district, and I don?t mind long distance collaboration, but you must live in the U.S for this to work out, unless you plan on only being my mentor then anywhere is fine. If this startup and project interest you please contact me immediately and let me know how you would like to contribute to this startup venture. Also, let me know what technologies you are knowledgeable in that I listed above. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and then we can move on to talking over the phone and/or skyping.
