  We are looking for a Web Developer to create user-friendly websites with clean code that function as expected across multiple user platforms and browsers, including tablets and mobile devices. The right person for the job will leverage new and emerging trends, such as responsive site development.
  
  Web developers should have an eye for design and be able to collaborate with the designer and/or other members of the creative team to deliver the desired look and feel, interface, architecture, and functionality of websites.
  
  Candidates should be detail-oriented, have strong communications skills and be able to communicate complex technical details to a non-technical audience. We are also looking for someone who is personable, likes to collaborate and can multi-task in a busy agency environment. In addition, candidate must be a motivated self-starter with professional attitude, capable of interacting with clients when needed.
  
  The developer's portfolio should demonstrate development skills as well as problem solving and strategic thinking. Must have a portfolio that demonstrates site template development from scratch (versus only maintaining existing websites).
  
  Responsibilities
  Contribute to a range of projects and participate in all stages of design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  Will be responsible for the build out of entire sites from layered .psd files or HTML prototypes, typically on WordPress CMS platforms.
  Create and test/validate cross browser/platform compatible templates, pages, and sites, including mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones.
  Collaborate with producers, designers, and IAs in the use of standards-based and semantic HTML and CSS to solve design problems.
  Identify emerging tools, templates, and techniques.
  
  Qualifications
  Demonstrate an understanding of Web design and development best practices and innovation, including the evolving use of HTML5 and CSS3.
  Proven fluency in PHP, HTML5, jQuery/Javascript, and CSS3 is required.
  Expert skills in Photoshop
  Extensive experience with LAMP-based solutions, database-driven content and content management systems, especially with open source platforms like WordPress.
  Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as computer science or information systems
  Have at least 3 years of web development experience, preferably in WordPress
  Experience working in a deadline-driven, technical, and design-focused environment
  Candidate should also have experience with, and/or knowledge of site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues.
