About Your Role
We are looking for an Senior Front-end / Back-End Web Application Developer with 5 to 6 years plus experience in a similar role. We want someone who has real passion for their craft, is at ease with a fast paced workplace and is capable of lending a hand when others need some help.
In this role you will work directly with the Web & UX Manager on customer and employee facing projects involving our website, customer profile, social, and mobile applications.
You will assist in the building of HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, and Web Service development. You will be working with our front-end developers and designers to bring interactive life to the website pages by
interacting with our webservice via Javascript and PHP.
Your Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full cycle of front-end integration with back-end development of our website and social media/mobile/web applications
Collaborating with back-end developers to enhance the user facing website.
Contributing to the quality of our brand with your best practice approach to development
Helping build and organize a library of digital assets
Building HTML/JS/PHP prototypes for user testing and demonstration
Beating the designers in Ping Pong :-)
You Must have:
5 plus years of professional experience coding semantic HTML, CSS, and JS/jQuery
4 plus years of professional experience coding PHP and Ajax related javascript
Up-to-date with modern approaches to web development (HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap)
Strong knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform coding
Ability to multi-task and think outside the box
Strong experience building AJAX enhanced projects via a webservice
Strong experience with Facebook application development
Good Experience with PHP frameworks, familiarity with sugar CRM
Good Experience with WordPress as a CMS
Good Experience with responsive design and development
Experience with Subversion/Mercurial/Git, APIs, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite
Education:
College or University Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (an asset)
