Need someone who is driven, passionate, has a sense of humor, and knows the value of "getting out" once in a while. Also, recognizes that I'm always interested in learning the craft as well. I know this is a stretch as I've never done this before but taking on a project of this magnitude while expecting to get it out there in a reasonable time is simply inconceivable given my limited skills in these areas. I'm a designer and entrepreneur first and would love to find someone who can take my idea, relate to it themselves, and help make it a reality. I wish I could avoid sounding like everyone else who says their idea is "great" -- I can simply say that I believe in this whole-heartedly; I've worked years detailing it out, trying to learn how to make it, and even been faced with seeing the competition only to not let it crush me but realize that the idea can be perfected, marketed, and successful if done correctly. This is a social network that is not meant to compete with an already over-saturated market but rather redefine what a social market could be.
I just want someone to feel as passionate about my idea as I do who wants to get involved and make it part of their life.
Because of this, the ideal candidate is located close to home; a strong working and business relationship is critical. Getting together to hash out ideas, discuss changes, updates, scheduling, etc is vital.
An initial trial phase will allow me to "test the waters" with the candidate -- A negotiated and agreed amount would be paid for a 2-4 month trial period of work done to create a basic working model of the product. Hopefully if all goes well, we can continue to work together. Equity or formation of a co-ownership would be possible further options.
Profit models and market research have returned strong results for there being a market for this with currently little competition.
You recent college graduates or current students who are too smart for school and are looking for something to do while waiting to get a job--this is that project you want to work on...as long as you care about people and making something that will help.
You pros who have gotten to comfortable earning your $100k+ incomes at the same job and little time to spend with your family (I work the rat race, I know the feeling all too well), this is the project that doesn't have any major risk apart from the initial one of making the leap of faith to put some time towards this. You're confident in your skills, and you know that there will always be feature adaptation and bug squashing but this will afford you more time to spend time with what matters. It's not some lucky shot, silly mobile game that's just made to make a quick buck. I wouldn't waste your time if it was. This can be your legacy project.
Take a leap of faith, I'm driven and committed to making this work.
