I'm seeking a designer to create the HTML and CSS for a new recipe site. I'm looking for a simple, clean, web-2.0 look and feel site (some of my favorite designed sites are airbnb.com, gogobot.com, and groupon). The site has 7 pages that the designer would be responsible for styling - 1 (the main recipe page) is fairly complex, the other 6 are pretty straightforward. I also need a logo for the site as well as many icons. I would like to see a few early sketches/mockups to provide early feedback before getting too deep into the design. Much more information will follow once I select a designer.
You can be located anywhere; you can perform this job remotely. If things go well, there may be followup work down the road.
Requirements:
- HTML and CSS expertise. Both should be compatible with all modern browsers.
- A portfolio with some sample web pages you have designed
- Familiarity with responsive web design - e.g. designs that look good (and adapt if necessary) with different screen sizes. I'd like the site to look good on both computers and tablets (I'll provide more info to the selected designer).
Pluses:
- Some javascript (preferably jQuery) familiarity. You won't be responsible for writing javascript, but there is a lot of existing javascript that it would be nice to integrate with as much as possible. However, I will be responsible for the final integration with existing javascript code.
- An interest in cooking!
Please provide a quote and a link to your portfolio.
