Programmer looking for a Designer for 1 job

  I recently started a project with a friend of mine and while we have the programming and business skills to complete it, the initial design of the application is sorely lacking. We're working on building small business software but we want it to have a polished look.
  
  I'm an experienced Flex developer and former full-time DBA and would be interested in trading application development skills for someone's design skills, if possible. We're currently bootstrapping our project for now so we have limited funds to pay a designer but we may be able to give some monetary compensation as well.
