I'm looking to revive one of my older websites that unfortunately had to be shut down due to funding issues. The site, SwfUP, at the time, was ranked 50k on Alexa and rapidly growing. I'm looking to have a major comeback with a new rendition of features and design.
SwfUP was a hosting/uploading site for the .SWF (Adobe Flash) format. We had over 250k uploads and 10k members registered. There were a lot of features that allowed users to easily share the files over the web and browse uploads by other users. For the new release I want to change a few things up but the overall premise will be similar.
I will be supply the full design and overseeing all financial aspects and PR.
I need someone who can be dedicated to supplying a feature rich site that will incorporate new web technologies and be forward thinking. There are a lot of ideas that I have and once you have been hired I will be supplying you with an exact breakdown of what I need completed.
Regarding payment, I can promise you $100 upfront, $200 once completed, and then 20% of total revenue over a course of 3 years. This is negotiable if needed. Obviously for many this is a somewhat risky project, but I feel very confident that I will be able to get the site back to where it was during it's prime within a short amount of time.
I'm looking for serious contenders only. I believe that this project will be a lot of fun and I hope that you too can see the potential. Required knowledge would be PHP, CSS, XHTML, MySQL. Having a basic knowledge of AJAX/Javascript would be useful for some more rich uses of the website.
