See http://buzzpal.com/seedcamp BuzzPal?s video pitch to Seedcamp, which is like the Ycombinator of Europe. From there, you can link to the BuzzPal blog, which has some more info and articles that will give you a flavor for our philosophy, which is agile, experimental, and iterative. See the Team page for more on who we're looking for: http://buzzpal.com/team.
BuzzPal in the earliest stages of development (call it "pre-development"), which is about defining and refining the core features; designing and mapping the user experience and interactions; creating the personas, stories, and use cases; architecting the information, creating the user interface, etc. The first person we need (YOU!) has to be a star in this department, ideally able to handle that stuff plus designing graphics, screens, mocks, graphical user interface and all elements in vector art packages. And the super bonus would be if you were also a front-end development star, able to create production ready front-ends in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
BuzzPal?s backend will be some sort of LAMP stack (using LAMP in the loose way, to include Python/Django, RoR, PHP/framework). Hosting will utilize grid and cloud (AWS, GAE, etc.).
Currently there are already thousands of people on the Private Beta list. That number is growing every day. We have pre-launch and launch strategies that will ensure we launch with a critical mass of users. We have a revenue model beyond advertising. And we have some marketing channels that are unique to us (i.e., through personal connections and access to hundreds of thousands of our target demographic in the USA and Europe).
BuzzPal has already been mentioned on UK TechCrunch and other European blogs. We have a growing lost of media and blogger contacts in USA and Europe, a number of whom we have met at Web 2.0 conferences and events.
Founder (me) has MBA from Georgetown and venture finance experience. See the longer-version of the video here for more background: http://buzzpal.com/seedcamp and http://www.linkedin.com/in/comella. I am also the angel investor and will be leading up fund-raising once we have something to demo to investors. During my career I have invested over $1 billion in media, communications, publishing, technology, and energy industries.
