? Calendar needs to be in the admin area when you first sign in and free from prying eyes.
? When a new user is added they get a calendar that is associated with their events.
? Remove the tags completely and make the events associated with the user?s calendar or if you are the admin have a choice of which calendar the event belongs to.
? The admin is the only person who can add edit or delete users and create calendars. So we would need to create some sort of authentication based on groups.
? Users can only add edit and delete their own events not the events of others.
? The flash messages will be in a lightbox style pop up.
? The events view from the calendar will be in a lightbox style pop up.
? The database will have added fields nothing major just more descriptions but I have most of the changes already.
All of these changes are pretty easy for someone who knows cakePHP. I have played with it for a couple days and have hacked most of this out. However, I want someone to do it the right way and make this work the way it should not the way it currently does.
If you are unsure of what I am asking you should download the calendar and install it (should take about 3mins total) and look around. The first thing you will notice is that it throws an error when adding events and is due to the way it uses tags instead of just plain associating an event with a user and a user with a calendar.
I will be helping with whatever you need done to keep the cost down. This is a part of a bigger project for a client and I don't have much budgeted for it since it was open source originally. However, beside any monetary compensation I can if you want trade design services for your programming services. Either way, I can come up with cash but must be a fair price. I know that 80% of this is really cake (pun intended) and the other 20% will be advanced and where the efforts are needed, mostly changing the way a calendar shows events based on users not tags.
Hope to hear back from some candidates soon, you can message me on Skype "valendesigns"
