POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Nuts and bolts):
You are an expert PHP Developer who will develop, maintain and troubleshoot web-based LAMP applications written in PHP 4.3+ and MySQL 3.23+. The candidate will also be creating new databases and tables, and must have experience with RDBMS design. The successful candidate will need a strong background in: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, JavaScript form validation, XHTML, CSS and W3C standards. Familiarity with Apache and MySQL servers preferred. The candidate will be reading pre-existing code as well as adding new modules to a custom Content Management System (CMS). The candidate must work well as a team member of the creative department to complete a daily workload and execute accurately, timely and within budget.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (l337 Sk1llz):
BS college degree in Computer Science and/or 2-4 years experience as a PHP developer. Language requirements are PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS and XHTML. Extensive experience with Object-Oriented PHP is required in order to use (and extend) our pre-existing PHP library. Must have experience with software design and development fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, RDBMS design, code reuse and modular code. Deep understanding of W3C standards and experience with web user interface design search engine optimization techniques preferred. Experience with AJAX, XML, ActionScript and/or JSON a plus. An extremely organized and detail/deadline-oriented team player who has experience working on software with other developers. Flexible, adaptable, able to understand and remain focused on objectives in a fast paced environment. A fast learner who will be able to quickly absorb our pre-existing PHP library. Proficiency in Macromedia Studio (i.e. Dreamweaver and Flash), Photoshop and other graphic design applications a plus. Familiarity with C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL a plus.
