Programmer looking for a Designer for 1 job

• Required Knowledge

  Qualifications:
  - Knowledge of photoshop or equivalent software
  - Prior experience designing websites and familiarity with designing user-focused interfaces
  - Prior work on community-related, blog templates or startup websites preferred
  
• Additional Info

  A team of three (with two developers - 1 back-end, 1 front-end familiar with CSS/XHTML, so only pure design work is needed) is looking for a freelance web designer to design pages for a website startup that is in the preliminary stages of being built. The site is going to be a community-driven, user-generated content site with a blogging platform integrated into it. All three individuals live and work in New York City. Many of the wireframes for the site have been created, so that should speed up the design process.
  
  Web designers in the New York area are preferred.
