It is targeted at local Austinites, and connecting them to all the wonderful local restaurants (there are LOTS of local entertainment venues in austin). It uses the latest AJAX techniques, the greatest javascript libraries, and is built on a solid PHP framework.
Basically the system is designed for use in all cities, but it is branded to Austin. I want to keep this website at the local-area only, this is why I did this. The entrepreneur will be able to license use of the webservice at no setup fee and no monthly fee. Payment will be made as 39% of all gross revenue.
The business model is quite simple: local restaurants signup for the service at a monthly fee. The businesses would be approached by a sales team assembled by the entrepreneur. The businesses then get access to a personalized mini-website, a listing as well as advertisment on the site, and targeted local advertising.
A key ingredient here is local advertising: college campuses, hotels, and the like. The entrepreneur must be intimately knowledgeable of their city. You must come up with creative ways of advertising.
At this point it is important to note that the entrepreneur would not need any technical knowledge in the area of programing, web-design, databases, or any other online technology (but it'd be cool if you did). All updates, maintenance, hosting, and technical support would be managed by me. The entrepreneur should be proficient in management, sales, and marketing, as they will setup anything necessary for their respective city.
Again, you will be hooking into an existing system, so any maintenance, functionality expansion, etc would happen automatically (you would not be involved with the product development).
So that's it. if you fit the bill and are interested, leave a line. English speakers only please.
