PIREP System
System Requirements:
The PIREP (Pilot Report) system will have 2 parts to the system. One is the Administration side, the other being the user (pilot) side. The admin side will be a client and using a GUI will update the database with information like pilots, routes, news, etc. The pilot side will also be a client but if possible be intergrated with Flight Simulator so accurate reporting is made (Information about the flight is recieved directly from FS). The GUI will recieve information from the database and poll at a specified polling period. this information is then organised onto the pilot client. Also a messaging system should be included so messages can be transmitted between pilots and other pilots or admins.
The client should be able to run on Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP (Home and Pro) and if possible Windows Vista.
The pilot client should first ask the user's authentication before recieving data from the database.
The client should not be too big in size and not take up too much memory.
There should be a way of logging admin actions, logins, ips, etc.
More features might be needed. I will advise you when this happens.
