I'm looking for a programmer to tidy up my personal site (www.alecquighardworker.com) with tight CSS in exchange for me doing some design work for them. If we work together well I'd love to start something more long-term as a business venture.
I would prefer, almost to the point of making it mandatory, that the kind of work I'd be doing in exchange would be something related to the arts: bands, writers, artists, filmmakers, etc. First of all, being one myself, this is what I know best. More practically, I can make very clean and professional websites, but my designs are very unobtrusive and act as vehicles for content. In other words, I leave the color and interest on the site to images and writing. I admittedly have a hard time doing otherwise, and am kind of relegated to that niche.
