  The Graphics Designer will design and develop a wide range of electronic and/or printed graphic materials, involving a variety of integrated steps and processes, and requiring extensive knowledge of specialized, multi-faceted design concepts and media. They will create complex, original graphic design and comprehensive layout concepts, and oversee and coordinate the production of all materials.
  
  
  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  1. Conceptualizes, plans, designs, and produces a wide range of specialized graphic and/or illustrative material, to include multimedia concepts, as appropriate.
  2. Works with clientele to ascertain needs and to develop graphic directions, concepts, and specifications for assigned projects.
  3. Plans production schedules for the various steps in the design process; analyzes and projects development costs and develops project budgets and workflow.
  4. Provides technical advice and guidance, and serves as liaison with production personnel, clients, and/or printing representatives on design and technical graphics issues.
  5. Participates in production and/or marketing planning group sessions and meetings, on a project basis.
  6. May coordinate a graphics standards library and/or maintain brand guidelines.
  
  
  MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  
  Ideal candidate for this position should have at least 3 years of experience in graphics design also must have a portfolio containing their best work in company identity and branding, print and marketing materials and user interface designs.
  
  
  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  
  * Adept knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
  * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  * Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and industry standard software.
  * Ability to identify and interpret graphic design needs and develop creative and responsive design concepts.
  * Ability to develop complex, integrated design, printing, and/or reproduction specifications.
  
  
  REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:
  
  * Adobe Photoshop CS2
  * Adobe Illustrator CS2
  * Adobe InDesign CS2
  * Macromedia Flash 8 as asset
