I'm a programmer / serial-entrepreneur / inventor. My biggest weakness is design. I know what looks good, but I have no idea how to get there.
Here's a description of the work I've done this year:
Iago 5.0 - a high-end survey programming / hosting application. It sells for US $8,000 - $16,000 an installation. This version was written in Ruby on Rails. On a modest dedicated server, it can interview over a thousand respondents simultaneously. Over a million respondents have taken online surveys without knowing that it was powered by Iago. It features automatic tabulation, quotas, multi-page branching surveys, rotations, convenient exports (Excel, SPSS, ASCII, CSV), progress bars, and is fully multi-language compatible.
SC Framework 2.0 - a tabulation web application that generates HTML reports from market research data. This is also written in Ruby on Rails. It features nearly unlimited sized datasets, significance testing, ranking, netting / subtotals, table suppression, row suppression, recoding, standard measures (means, medians, etc.), and convenient imports (CSV, ASCII, Excel.)
Plixa - this is my new baby. It's a website builder with a theme creator that not just generates custom CSS, it actually builds the images that make up the page through some server-side alpha compositing and custom filters.
