I feel compelled to introduce an alternative initiative to the current Social Security fiasco. I am a life-long entrepreneur, and have tasted the good, the bad, and the ugly of what America has to offer. Barbara and I have 14 grandchildren, and nothing bothers us more than the "vigil of silence" that has put in play the demise of future generations by way of the financial obligations created through the current social security trust fund. That is the bad and ugly.
Just briefly, In the mid 90s, while living in Dallas, Tx., I contributed a significant amount of time and energies helping set up the American Association of Baby Boomers (AAB-501(c)(3)). We put out a monthly newsletter called My Generation, trying to educate boomers on the coming crisis. The organization attracted an underwriter, Penn Life, and approximately 30,000 members. Obviously Penn's interest was getting in front of Boomers with their insurance product. Long story short, when upper level AARP, got wind of this, they were able to use their political muscle and basically destroy our lifeline. The Boomers faded, but my enthusiasm for a solution hasn't.
It is for this reason I am inputting this info., as I'm convinced we were only lacking the proper communication median. Now we have the venue to cummunicate effectively and quickly. Over the past several years I have developed a framework for a comprehensive initiative. This is a very "outside the box" 33 year initiative. It phases out new SS recipients, restores the trust fund, creates an Individual Community Investment/Retirement Account for every working American, and creates investment pods in all 435 congressional districts. There's much more, but I think you can get a grasp of the main points.
Over the years I have developed significant offshore resources, but need a US presence for oversight and partial ownership. I would like for you to consider what I've communicated, and if you have an interest, would share more details and talk about some of your ideas for going forward.
