New Updates — March 2007
Did you notice the new update? A whole lot of features have been introduced to make your stay at ProgrammerMeetDesigner more enjoyable. Here is a run-down of the changes:
Prettier interface: the site should look easier on the eyes now without those horrendous orange buttons and less outlines. Oh, you should be able to find your way around the site faster with a better navigation system.
Delete messages: a lot of people complained about how the messages (on the sidebar, when you login) never go away. Now, you can make them go away whenever you please — just click the X beside it to delete.
Listing RSS Feeds: You can now subscribe to an RSS feed of the offers and comments made on your listing. And, if you leave a comment on someone's listing, you can subscribe to that thread.
Two new options are available for listings: Language and Telecommute. The first, language is the spoken language you want your partner to be able to speak. And telecommute just tells people if you are okay with people telecommuting rather than living in your city.
Last but certainly not least: the profile pages! A lot of things have changed so just login and take a look your profile. Your profile page is now separated into sections that you can add, edit and delete. Have a blog? Add your RSS feed as a section and your posts will automatically appear in your profile. Or, you can add your flickr photo stream's RSS feed. Or, you can create a static section to write an "About me" section for example. Oh, and at the bottom of every profile, you will see a list of people the user has worked with.
Hope you like the changes! And, as always, your feedback regarding the site is always appreciated. Oh, and if you have any PMD success stories, send 'em in with the feedback form please!
Thanks for using the site,
— Kasra Kyanzadeh
P.S. If you really like this update, I'd appreciate it if you mention it on your blog! Thanks.
